The Power of Consumers to Create Social Change
More and more people are seeking brands that prioritize social impact. A 2021 survey found that 63% of respondents choose brands that stand for a shared purpose and reflect their personal values, which is an increase of 10% since 2019. Furthermore, 73% of consumers believe companies should act for the good of society.
Prioritizing Social Impact
Are you one of the millions of people looking for a company that prioritizes social impact? If so, The Sleep Theory could be a good fit. The goals for our company are twofold: to sell the highest quality infant sleep sack on the market, the Theta Pouch, and to be a socially responsible company. To achieve these goals, The Sleep Theory is guided by three pillars: social impact, sustainability, and superior craftsmanship.

The Sleep Theory’s Commitment to Community
The CEO and founder of The Sleep Theory USA, Ghislaine, has learned through personal and professional experience the importance of building a community. As the mother of two children who were hospitalized in the NICU, she understands how helpless parents feel when their children are sick and how important having a community is during a time of need.
In addition to her personal NICU experience, Ghislaine is a pediatric health professional who has helped countless families care for their infants. She has seen firsthand how traumatic it is for mothers who do not have the resources to pay for their children's medical care or surgeries.
The combination of her personal and professional experience has led Ghislaine to be an advocate for increased access to healthcare worldwide. To achieve this goal, she has pledged to donate 1% of every Theta Pouch purchased to Mercy Ships International.
What is Mercy Ships International?
Mercy Ships International is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides medical care and medical education to Sub-Saharan Africa. It operates two state-of-the-art hospital ships that provide free surgeries and other healthcare services.
Because 50% of the world’s population lives within 100 miles of the coast, Mercy Ships is able to sail modern hospitals around the coast of Africa and serve hundreds of thousands of people.
Founded in 1978, Mercy Ships is one of the oldest charity organizations operating in Sub-Saharan Africa. Throughout the years, African nations have learned that Mercy Ships cares deeply for all citizens of the world and works as a partner with various governments to improve access to medical care.
Mercy Ships is guided by the principle that “everyone deserves a life full of promise and potential and that every mother deserves to see her children grow healthy and thrive.” The respect that Mercy Ships shows toward the underprivileged children of Africa aligns with the worldview of The Sleep Theory USA.
Social Change Through Purchasing Power
In today’s increasingly competitive market, consumers have the power to impact social change through their purchases. Choosing brands that align with your values and beliefs impacts the lives of others. At The Sleep Theory, we are not only dedicated to providing the highest quality sleep sack, the Theta Pouch, but also to giving back to the worldwide community of mothers.
